Classic Vintage Kantha Jacket – X Large – 14/16 – Tomato Red and Cream. Reverse Teal and Olive Green

XL. Tomato red and cream stripes with ochre flowers. Two vertical stripes of paisley run down the collar and centre front opening and a cream stripe runs down the centre back panel adding an attractive detail. Two small patches on the back. Reverse – Teal, olive green and beige plaid and a large square of batique adorns the shoulder. White running stitch. Classic jackets have two front facing pockets and the reverse side has two patch pockets. Tailored fit with three wooden buttons in hidden front facing. Vent at the back. Red trim on hem, pockets and cuffs. These jackets have been designed so that they can be worn on the reverse side.

Our jackets are made from quilts which were originally stitched together from saris, softened from wear and washing.This tradition originated in Bangladesh and Kantha refers to the running stitch rather than the piece. As the material is vintage, sometimes there are small blemishes and even the odd patch.
