Vintage Chakla (wall hanging) with Shisha mirrorwork

A beautiful chakla (wall hanging) embroidered using richly coloured silks in darning stitch, close herringbone stitch and shisha mirror work surrounded by chain stitch. The piece features a double border of multi coloured embroidered triangles and satin woven fabric. Edged with a black trim and six fabric tassels with two hanging loops. This piece would look wonderful in any room in the house as a wall hanging. Embroidered by the Kutchi Rabari community from North-East Kutch, Gujurat. Circa 1970s.
