Red and pale beige pattern with small orange motifs. Reverse sleeves and front panel the same, two panels in green and dark brown stripes, two panels in light beige.Classic jackets have two front facing pockets and the reverse side has two patch pockets. Tailored fit with three wooden buttons in hidden front facing. Vent at the back. Red trim on hem, pockets and cuffs. These jackets have been designed so that they can be worn on the reverse side.
Kantha jackets are made from layers of saris sewn together by a running stitch, a tradition which originated in Bangladesh in order to recycle fabrics. It was common for a woman to sew her sari to her husband’s dhoti. As the material is vintage, sometimes there are small blemishes and even the odd patch.
100% cotton. Machine washable.
