Pelmet Wall hanging – Multi Coloured

A beautiful addition for a child’s room or elsewhere in the house. Could be displayed on the wall, alcove or bookcase. Brightly coloured kathipa stitching on a cream cotton background. Depicting a blue elephant, multi coloured flowers and geometric patterns. Sisha mirror work. Five bright pink, blue and green pennants representing mango leaves for good luck. Edged with red trim. 2 hanging loops. Brightly icoloured fabric tassels.Made by the farming (Kanbi) communities of Saurashtra. Some discolouration due to age. Circa 1970s.
