Pelmet Wall hanging – Embroidered wall hanging on Blue and Rust

A beautiful addition for a child’s room or elsewhere in the house. Could be displayed on the wall, alcove or bookcase. Exquisitely fine embroidery in open chain stitch in coloured silks with shisha mirror work. Five pennants representing mango leaves for good luck, edged with multi coloured bands of trim and finished off with brightly coloured fabric tassels. 3 hanging loops. Made by the Rabari communities of Gujurat. Circa 1960.
