A fun and colourful reversible kantha throw to brighten up any comfy chair or sofa or decorate a bed. Shades o  brown foliage and turquoise, yellow and orange flowers decorate a background of red stripes. Neat rows of red running stitch join another sari to the otherside, with a more African inspired print of giant blue corn flowers, and rich browns and reds and dark blues. Due to the age of the item there are a few patches. 100% cotton. Machine washable 30c

Kantha is a traditional method of sewing together layers of cotton saris using a simple running stitch called ‘Kantha‘. This age old method of recycling originated in Bangladesh and was an excellent way of creating quilts from pre-existing fabric. Each piece is completely unique with a different colour way and design on the reverse allowing a different look for your room depending on which side is shown.
